More than just cooking
BORA stands for premium built-in appliances with top design. All products are characterized by innovative technology combined with high standards of design. They produce their products with the idea that customers can concentrate on the essentials: enjoying being together.
Within a short time, BORA has become a major European player in the field of cooktops with extraction. The rapid development begins when Willi Bruckbauer developed and patented his first cooktop extraction system with the BORA Professional in 2006. The extractor system meets the highest technical and aesthetic requirements and has therefore been awarded several prizes, including the Deutscher Grรผnderpreis (German Innovation Prize), German Design Awards and the Iconic Award.
The technology of BORA
For BORA, architecture, design and functionality are very important. They have the ambition and promise to continuously deliver excellent quality. To fulfill this promise, all products are extensively tested in their own laboratory. Here they develop the first prototypes and the products are subjected to thorough testing to see if it meets the quality standards. They also take customer feedback directly into the improvement process. Particular attention is paid to energy-efficient ventilation, sound power level and grease separation rate.
The recirculation system
BORA's recirculation system does not allow cooking vapors and odors to rise first, but sucks them directly away from the cooktop or straight out of the cooking pot, pan or grill. To do this, they use a cross-flow that is greater than the rising speed of the cooking vapors. The recirculation system is the alternative solution to the exhaust air version. Here the cooking fumes are directed through the motor into the specially developed recirculation filter, which effectively eliminates odors from the kitchen exhaust air. Because recirculation systems work with intelligent flow techniques instead of large conveying volumes, less warm room air is routed out of the house, thus saving energy.
BORA Basic
Cooktop and cooktop extractor in a compact design for any kitchen. The BORA Basic is an iconic design with circular extractor that was created in 2013. In the same year, the cooktop was awarded the Plus X Award. This innovative precursor was an inspiration for series of various cooktops with extraction. The BORA basic is extremely quiet, is easy to clean, has a pure stainless steel grease filter, an extra-large cooking surface, compact dimensions, child safety and automatic cooking function.
